STILL NIGHT

Still in the night;

Darkness! Waiting; Lacking sight.

Patience! Knowledge! What is right?

Silence! Murmuring; Devoid of light.

Bleak envelope of despair;

Cloak! Covering; Features bare.

Feeling! Senseless; A level stair.

Groping! reaching; Untouched care.

Rugged walkway of space;

Footpath! Irregular; A distant pace.

Running! Tireless; Endless race;

Stretching! remote; Clouded face.
