Will George Poet
The Sea, the eternal sea, waits!
Time flows in waves washing;
The constant flow of both mingle;
Overlapping and intertwining.
Lake Ontario, Canada. The Toronto Harbour graced with the silhouette of the sailing rig of the Tall Ship, Challenge. A symphony of fireworks enlivens the late evening sky. The kiss of breeze upon the body, the undulation of the tide, carries the mind back in time when such regal schooners plied the seas of the world.
Time ruled by the clock, interjected moments of sound cry out for attention, ignored!
Coal! Mountains created by its production, washed and swept by indifferent rains of several lifetimes, fall and take life. Water, a life source, becomes a passive harbinger. A legacy is left in the memories of Aberfan.
England's Queens, Elizabeth II, Boadicea, Elizabeth I, Anne. Victoria. Each remembered for their contribution to their heritage.
A church, St. George's, a cleric, in training, matures and moves on with his family, leaving deep regard amongst those he has nurtured.
St. George's Hall, Windsor, lost in flame. The moment of a monarch's despair captured on film. Personal and private tribulation, often made a media item infringes on the most intimate. A horrible year!
One hundred year for celebration and reflection. The choral response, to perform. The audience are entertained.
