Lonesome Memorials.
Who will remember the fallen?
The monument solitary stands,
The names listed, only memories.
Poppies, wreathed, sit, weathered.
Who will maintain the tradition?
Will the Standards be lowered?
How many Novembers will pass,
the Eleventh Hour, on the Eleventh Day?
Will Reveille sound, and echo,
and fade for heroes?
Perhaps the most recent of warriors,
of Iraq and Afghanistan will be there.
Tuniced soldiers, respectful, maintain the honour;
Surely to remember fallen comrades.
