Justice!
Justice!
Justice is blind!
That is so that she may not differentiate
between the powerful and the weak.
She does not lack care for the grandiose,
or the rich anymore than the simple and the poor.
Justice is not without morality;
for law without moral is an abomination;
it usurps the purpose of life.
Those who come to serve her must be diligent!
They must not forget her temperament,
for she can be wrathful if stirred.
She can also be compassionate
for she recognizes the imperfection of all.
Her voice is calm persistence,
she does not have to scream,
to shout or to be violent.
Those who seek to use her
cannot abridge her authority,
vested in them only temporarily;
Custodians, they must be the most careful
attendant upon the nature of her charge.
Hers must be the one voice to bear witness
and to be adhered to;
Her wisdom proclaims itself!
Sometimes it is necessary for her to be asserted.
There are those who wrong by her,
those who try to bend her will and favour,
For them, there will be a reprimand:
They will experience the rewards
of their recreant behaviour.
There is no place to hide in shadows,
for she will touch even darkness.
To each one their own conscience!
Apply the rules wisely.
Be diligent and be fair in interpretation.
errors of judgement are not insurmountable
yet they carry their own price.
Better to err and correct it
than to wilfully ignore the outcome.
There is a call for faith!
There is a call for trust,
a need for a belief in the wisdom.
that it should be applied fairly.
Who is it that will have this responsibility?
It is collective, it is a part
of the nature and inheritance of each one.
