Innocent: The voice of Katherine Jenkins

 

The voice stirs the still air.

Rich tones penetrate and vibrate within.

The soul is stirred by the purity

of this melodic instrument.

 

She presents herself with humility,

shy, uncertain, hopeful of result.

Music wraps the heart and mind,

opens the deafness of locked soul.

 

How does she compare,

not with earthly peers, but with the angelic host?

Clarity of the message resounds,

knocks and bids acknowledgement.

 

There is no compulsion to listen,

no bidding to be attentive.

The innocence of the voice challenges,

hopeful of acceptance.

 

Rejection cuts the flesh,

bleeds the soul, drains the spirit.

Yet, God smiles and extends

a supportive hand to this maiden.

 

Only the foolish reject the gift,

delivered by a messenger so dedicated.

Those who covet and hold jealousy

are typical of insignificant lives.

 

Katherine, a simple thought transcends all.

There is a time and place for you;

You have a place, and it is the most honourable;

And it is now, within this realm of change.

 

Your voice, your message, your being,

heralds its invitation,

a certainty of God's love carried,

and calling in triumphant song.
