Freeman or slave!

I sent my Son into the world!

For I was told that Man was ready to repent.

This message came from one so near,

esteemed, and one I often gave my ear.

The words of Cifleur in time were sent

with samples of my creation’s sorrow and receptivity.

Time was on the side of those creatures small

whose minds were led astray.

Into the night they called aloud

and silent they remained into the day.

Their prayers were for self and for satisfaction

offering nothing that showed their lament.

Patience was not displayed and was scarce evident,

the focus of thought was more of earth than heaven sent!

The comforts of good food and wine were pursued,

to the exclusion of personal growth they were imbued.

It is easy to forget the source of nourishment

when the thought of thanks and gratitude is absent.

I look back beyond the time allotted to each one

to find the willingness and wish to be like my Son.

There is a seed given to each individual soul,

the opportunity to bud and to come into flower.

Selfishness and self ingratitude are the most prominent

excuse for evading responsibility and commitment.

The quiet man will follow the pathway that best suits

his needs, his perception of past reward and future fruits.

Temperament discusses spiritual recognition not physical attribute

and silence may be the appreciation of what is astute.

Life begins beyond the cradle and extends past the grave

for those who prepare, the difference is that of freeman to slave!
