A GATHERING

Is it not the wind which blows?

To bring, congregate, mix this cluster;

A common ground, uncommon a place,

Where spirits link and flow.

Murmurings rise and fall; interested

Exchanges, balance, counter balance, ongoing,

Searching, sharing, banter and baiting.

Discomfort, directed flow, controlled

Positioning, resolution lost, focus blurred.

Needs, disrupted, intermittent interruption

Encroaching; voices calling, seeking, challenging,

Brief escape, smaller clustering, lingering.

Quiet pause, self determination, stopped

Expansion, freedom , spread, uneven.

What breed flocks, to rise beneath the sky

Pecking, spitting, overlapping space.

Sustenance avails, congestion prevails,

Sweeping hordes breech, clearing all.

Rise upward, take spirit, to the goal

Searching, seeking solution, common ground

Left, to one side, those who should fall.
